Gwyllyn Samuel Newton " Glenn " Ford (May 1, 1916 - August 30, 2006) was a Canadian-American actor who often portrayed ordinary men in unusual circumstances. Ford was most prominent during Hollywood's Golden Age as one of the biggest box-office draws of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, who had a career that lasted more than 50 years.

"Gilda" is a smoldering film packed with subtext and tantalizing sexual tension between its three protagonists. Many plot points are clear, some remain murky, and others are thinly veiled - none of which matter, as this noir-tinged drama manages to hypnotize from beginning to end.
